I’m With You
So sorry that you are going through such a rought time write now. Your emotions will be crazy for a couple of weeks, not to mention the fear. I do have some good news to share with YOU!! I had cervical cancer when I was 25 and I am now 47. I did not have to undergo chemo even though mine was a "stage 3 severe" when it was caught. I have never missed having those pesky monthly cycles and have saved thousands of dollars in sanitary products!! Heck, it's been so long that I sometimes forget other women still have periods! I wish you luck and that you have wonderful results as soon as possible. It's also very good that you already have children. I missed out on that completely. Hugs, hugs, and more hugs!!! Sammy from MI

Close Cervical Cancer
I never thought I would have to deal with cancer. I was recently diagnosed with cervical cancer. I underwent a complete hysterectomy on 11-6-07. Do I still recruit an oncologist even if my nodes come back clean, free of cancer? How do I keep it from coming back?
Treatments
- Colposcopy Not Working
- I felt it was a waste of time since we knew the cancerous cells had to be coming from the cervix, not the vaginal canal.
- Hysterectomy Too Soon to Tell
- I am awaiting the results from the pathologist about the status of the nodes.
