Hi hun. Haven't talked in a while but this journal entry popped up on my little feed thing. Going to your therapist each week is a great step in trying to help yourself be a little happier. It really just takes time. I went through almost 3 years of pure depression until just this summer, i finally started to turn everything around & get to be okay with everything & be truly happy again. I'm not saying it's gonna take YOU three years, just let it take the time you need to heal & be okay. It will, just never give up.

You are letting life happen instead of taking charge and making things happen. You are in a limbo you have created to hide in. What do YOU want to do while family is gone? Do you enjoy time alone? Do you want to see a movie? Whenever I have felt lonely, I pick a project. I make a craft, sew an outfit, paint a room and go shopping to add some new touches. You can do this. This is your life and you need to start making decisions as to how you will live it. I have a feeling nothing could be worse than what you have done to yourself. If you want to be happy, you will be happy. If you want to be sad, you will be sad. If you want to change your life, you will take steps to do that. Have confidence in yourself. Medication takes the edge off but it will not change your life. Give it a try.

I usually will filnd myself a good book to read, OR just go out and go for a walk, clean the house, or tackle some project that I have been putting off. I have so much "alone" time now, I am beginning to get used to it.. Or maybe even see if some friends want to get together for a movie or something.... Best wishes. Hugs,
