I have had ocd since I was 6yrs. old, I am doing real good right now, but our 28 yr. old son has gone through some really rough times. He has suffered such severe and agonizing mental anguish, due to his severe ocd. We have such a wonderful and precious friend on here, lisamatt1990. We went to school together all our lives, and a few years back, ran into each other at the store, and have been best friends and sisters ever since. She recently went to all her friends here on daily strength, and told them about Matthew, ( version27), I can never thank her enough for all her support, and thank you to all who wrote him, and became his friend, you can never know how much that has meant to him and us, thank you all so much! He is a wonderful person, and please forgive this proud mom, but he is such a kind and caring person, and also very handsome, he doesn't think so, but he is. I am praying that this year will be the best ever for him, and that he will meet that special lady he's been looking for. As for me, I am so blessed by God to have such a wonderful husband and son, and was also blessed to have such a wonderful and precious mom and dad. My goal and prayer is to help our son get well, get my husband's back better, which he injured at work 2 weeks ago, and for me to lose 30 lbs, which I gained after shattering my ankle in June 2007, and developing a serious open wound. The hospital had put my boot on too tight, and when they took it off the top of my foot was black. I was so scared I was going to lose my foot, but thanks to God and my wonderful wound specialist, Dr. Farrow, I did not lose my foot. I wasn't able to put full weight on it for 4 months. At 48, it is so hard to get the weight back off, but I won't give up till I do. Thank you all again for all your support! God Bless You All!

Hello to both of you,,and I am not feeling well so having to have more tests to see if I might have MS..please keep me in your prayers and that God will give me strength and peace,,,Matt, remember what I said,,you are YOU, made in the image of God, so you ROCK!!! I'm in a band now and we are playing tomorrow evening, so that should help me feel better! I love music...stay in touch..huggles to both of you!

Close Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
I am 48yrs.old,&have had ocd since I was 6yrs.old,I am doing fine, but am very worried about our 28yr.old son,who has severe ocd.I am hoping and praying,that we will find him hope&support through this web site.Thanks so much.
Treatments
- Prozac Working / Worked
- I have been on Prozac 30mgs. since 1988.I was blessed that this has helped my ocd,tremendously,but at 6yrs.old and again at about 15 or 16yrs.old, had a really hard time finding a medication that helped,so don't ever give up.
Close Hyperparathyroidism
Hi my name is Kami, and I'm not sure what type of thyroid problem I have. In November 2008, had routine blood work done, and my TSH was 5.604, the doctor put me on Levothyroxin, generic for Synthroid, also noticed my calcium serum was 11.1. Would appreciate any input, thanks so much!

Hi my name is Kami. I went to my doctor in Nov. 2008 for annual checkup and routine blood work. My TSH came back 5.604, was put on Levothyroxin 50mcg once a day, generic for Synthroid, also noticed my calcium serum was 11.1. Was wondering if anybody could give me information on this.
