Disabled/retired for the last 7 years, I have 2 cats (here's one of them) who keep me company and provide terrific distraction from my pain and other assorted symptoms. I am an artist who works in wood, ceramics and my garden. I am a political progressive who supports freedom of speech and the pursuit of happiness. I have a sister and brother who have FMS. My mother, who died 2 years ago also had it. I am a voracious reader and film buff.

thank you for your advice on the fibro board,...I know the quicker I get up and move the quicker I will be out of the hospital...I cant do lifting and bending and alot for awhile...but those little movements are going to be the key for quick recovery...hugs
A hug back to you for Valentine's Day!
I love my cats too. When I feel really bad and can not get out of bed my orange cat named Tony lays with me. I lay there listening to him purr. It relaxes me. Happy Valentines. Mary

My condition is likely connected in some way to the fibromyalgia I also have. Mother had this too and was one of the first people in the country to be treated with DMSO.
I endured a medical procedure during childhood that is no longer performed because of the reactions of the girls who had this done. My research tells me that almost no male children had it done.
My teeth never fit together properly, but the TMJ became problematic the first time I tried to quit smoking. I chewed pack after pack of gum, trying to alieve the nervousness and the next thing I knew, pop goes the jaw. Now I have arthritis in the right side which sounds like sand when I open and close my mouth
My mother had rosacea, so when mine first showed up right around the time I became menopausal, at least I knew what it was.
I am diagnosed as "pre-diabetic" and want to educate myself on ways to keep those numbers in check.
