Ok, I just need to brag:
My INR has been between 2-3 since June 29th. I've been testing every 30 days ever since.
I would have never thought I could achieve this considering the many months it took to get therapuetic, the constant testing every week or two and even sometimes every 3-4 days and the ever changing warfarin dosages for the last year and a half. Nice to be in a sweet spot for a bit.
So, with that said, I proclaim that I am a goddess among mere mortals. Well, at least for the time being. My INR level could all go to hell at any time. But for now, I rule. ![]()

Ha, I thought the same thing- I'm putting the whammie on it! But then I also think, what the hell. Celebrate little victories, even if they're temporary and not really all that victorious.

You go girl, that's a big victory, life returning to normal is doing the extraordinary as reflex...

I don't know much about that but I'm super happy to hear that it's normal!! You HAVE to celebrate small victories!!!

I have no idea what that means, but if you're happy I'm happy!
Well done!!!

Yeah, my Crohns and UC pals have no idea what I'm talkin' about! Warfarin is an anticoagulant that requires really close monitoring to make sure you're at therapuetic levels- not too low or not too high. It's a tricky little drug, the management of which can sometimes feels like a full time job.
Thanks for the shout out, everyone.

I'll just be callin' you Stable Mabel - congrats!

Good for you! I know how hard it can be; I never had to take it myself but when I worked in clinical nutrition at our local hospital, I used to do the food/drug interaction teachings for coumadin and vit K. One pt told me that he used it to kill rats, fed it to them, they bleed internally and die!
