Just finished my first week of wearing my fancy, custom made compression stockings to help with the post thrombotic syndrome situation with my DVT leg. Who knew that 19 months post clot, I’d be just now having problems.
Anyway, I hate wearing these bastards. I hate the way they look and I hate the way they feel, but I tell you what; I have seen improvement almost instantly. My dry skin spots seem to be clearing up, the swelling is almost non existent and my calf and ankle look less red. Even more importantly, I don’t have the fatigue and achiness when I wear them that I’ve had over the last few months.
God give me the strength to wear them through the summer!

My mother has had to endure them for almost 40 years. It's really hard in the summer, and I sure feel for you. I know they are hot, bothersome and very expensive. Are yours waist to toe? I have been very lucky not to have had to wear them.

Well if your weather in Milwaukee has been anything like Mpls so far, you won't have to worry about summer.
I've read PTS doesn't usually kick in until well after the clotting episode. Do you ever have issues with your arm?
