Thanks for the hug and thoughts. You have also been on my mind. I love when you respond to a post because it is usually just what I would say. Things here are OK. I guess I'm still enjoying remission. I think some of my ills are just because I'm getting old; can't blame it all on the Crohn's :). I'm still lugging around 15 extra pounds. My Cholesterol is elevated, especially my LDLs. I'm supposed to be watching my diet and losing weight so I stopped eating meat (except fish) in an effort to cut saturated fat from my diet. I've been eating more low fat/fat free dairy products to keep my protein intake up and I've been noticing a lot more gas and bloating and constipation so now I'm like "what the hell am I supposed to eat!" I'm already gluten free. I should weigh 98 pounds but fate will not allow it! Wow, I did not realize how negative this all sounds!
I do have some good stuff. Working on making a move so the house will be on the market in January. I'm enjoying the purge of junk and looking froward to a new place and fresh start.
i was going to chime in on that horribly annoying ridiculous klein-schmine post, but you and sue said it all and saved my blood pressure from sky rocketing, so thanks.
SOOOO cross about that bloody "Do you really want to be well" post. Glad you feel the same. 5 months for goodness sake!!!! I joined this forum to get away from that kind of crap.
Thanks again for sharing your experiences. Hope you're not in too much pain.
Brett and the Twinkies what a week! I'm not sure we would have beaten GB if we didn't have BF. Hope you are well! -p
I had massive PEs in both lungs on 9/11/07. I also had a DVT in my left leg. The doc thinks BC pills caused this (I had been on them for about 20 years). TPA got rid of the lung clots. I also have a vena cava filter. UPDATE 4/20/08: Been off of warfarin for about 6 weeks and developed new clot. This dismisses the theory that the clots were th result of BC pills.
DVT in my left leg went undiagnosed for 4-6 weeks. Also had PEs in both lungs on 9/11/07. I have a vena cava filter. UPDATE 4/20/08: Been off of warfarin for about 6 weeks and developed new clot. This dismisses the theory that the clots were th result of BC pills.
I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2005. It's under control with meds, but within the last year, I've developed acid reflux. I seem to have had more and more flare ups within the last 6 months, since having a massive pulmonary embolism. Can't tell if the more frequent acid reflux due to stress from recovering from the pulmonary embolism or if it's a side effect from the warfarin I'm taking.
I got disentary while travelling overseas several years ago. Continued to struggle with GI issues ever since. Finally, a GI doc diagnosed me with Ulcertative Colitis a few years back.
