I feel thankful today for these 3 things:

I have in the past year been diagnosed with Lupus and Celiac Sprue. I'm trying to make a lot of lifestyle changes, learn about alternative and herbal remedies and stay positive. Aside from the interests I listed, I'm also an activist for lots of worthy causes, including animal welfare, fair-trade, organic and locally produced foods, green living, religious freedom/tolerance and many others.

Diagnosed this past year and doing my best to avoid gluten in my diet.
I've been a vegetarian for near a decade now and wouldn't change it for anything.
I lost one of my cats a couple weeks ago. He went into acute renal failure and the vet said there was nothing to be done, and that he was suffering, so we put him to sleep. I've been feeling depressed and weepy on and off, and I know it's normal, but it's still hard.
