About Me
I am 36 years old, married, with one daughter and two step-daughters, and have Chronic Pain due to Degenerative Disc/Facet Disease of the Spine with secondary Nerve Damage. In November 2007, I suffered a Nervous Breakdown causing Anxiety and Panic Disorder, Depression, and Mild Cognitive Impairment MCI)making it impossible for me to work. Living with these life altering and physically debilitating, and mentally exhausting diseases has not been easy, "The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. Interests
I love the beach. There's nothing that makes me feel more alive than sitting on the beach, feeling the sun on my face, the breeze off the ocean blowing my hair, listening to the sound of the waves, and the feeling of sand between my toes. I enjoy spending the day with my daughter, shopping and having girl talk, and spending lazy days in the park laying on a blanket, relaxing and enjoying nature.

Close Back Pain
I have been suffering from Chronic Pain, Degenerative Disc Disease, Degenerative Facet Disease, Arthritis, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Raynaud's Disease, IBS and Fibromyalgia since a minor car accident in 1999. Thoracic Spine Surgery-July 2005-Anterior Thoracic Discectomy with Titanium Cage Interbody Fusion.
Treatments
- Chiropractic Adjustment Somewhat Helpful
- Helpful in the beginning.
- Epidural Injection Not Working
- Didn't help, just made me gain 30 lbs.
- Heat Working / Worked
- I couldn't function without my heating pad and Bed Buddies.
- Ibuprofen Working / Worked
- Helps with mild aches due to weather changes.
- Morphine Working / Worked
- Makes me extremely tired, but helps to keep the pain bearable. I have to take Adderall to help with the tiredness.
- Physical Therapy Not Working
- Relaxation Working / Worked
- Getting away from it all for just a couple of days helps to keep me going.
- Stretching Working / Worked
- Help with the muscle spasms.
- TENS Somewhat Helpful
- Pain Management Clinic Working / Worked
- I have a wonderful Pain Management Doctor. He is very compassionate and actually takes the time to sit down and ask you how you are doing in every aspect of your life
Close Chronic Pain
Treatments
- Chiropractic Adjustment Somewhat Helpful
- Worked in the very early stages, before disc degeneration.
- Cymbalta Not Working
- I tried it for a few months and didn't notice any difference.
- Flexeril Working / Worked
- Worked well, but E Worked well, but Zanaflex works better.
- Heat Working / Worked
- Heat works well sith the stiffness, also, Bed Budies are great and allow mobility.
- Lidoderm Working / Worked
- They actually work! They help with nerve pain and help to control muscle spasms.
- Morphine Working / Worked
- Works well, but causes tiredness, I have to take Aderall to be able to function.
- Nerve Blocks Somewhat Helpful
- Only work for a short period of time.
- Neurontin Not Working
- Made me feel dazed and caused me forget what I was saying and doing.
- Physical Therapy Not Working
- When working one area, it flared up another area. The PT said it was causing more harm and good.
- TENS Working / Worked
- Helps with mild muscle spasms.

- Colace Working / Worked
- I take the one with a stimulant in it, it takes a couple of days, but it works without side effects. The regular also works if you take it daily.
Open Physical & Emotional Abuse
Married for 8 years, my husband is in law enforcement, and is very controlling and verbally abusive. He insults me, calls me names, makes fun of me, cusses me & yells.
