ttc for 4+ years. Me: Unexplained infertility DH - Good Numbers
Treatments
- Artificial Insemination Not Working
- 1 IUI natural cycle and 1 IUI with meds (Clomid & Gonal F) - produced 5 good sized follicles but no pregnancy
- Clomid Somewhat Helpful
- Helps me produce more than one mature follicle each cycle.
- Estrogen Patch Not Working
- I used the Vivelle-Dot in my 2 ww & quit using it after I got my BFN - I then had a headache for over 2 weeks
- Femara Working / Worked
- Using it w/ this February IVF cycle - so far so good, less side effects than clomid - not as many hot flashes or crying spells - got 12 eggs this IVF cycle
- Folic Acid Working / Worked
- Taking prenatal vitamins and have been for over 3+ years. Now I find out that I need to take 5mg total while ttc & throughout pregnancy because of a MTHFR mutation - so in addition to prescription strength prenatal vitamins, I'm taking Folbic 2x a day
- Follistim Working / Worked
- Definitely increases the number of mature follicles I produce. Hot flashes are a side effect. I used Gonal-F
- Ganirelex Working / Worked
- Took it for my IVF cycle in Nov, Feb, May and July. Works.
- hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) Working / Worked
- HSG (Hysterosalpingography) Working / Worked
- Tubes clear!
- In Vitro Fertilization Not Working
- Started IVF meds Nov 14 - had ER on 11/27 got 12 eggs - 10 fertilized had ET on 12/1 - got a BFN on 12/12 ~ Started IVF meds for my 2nd round of IVF on Feb 14 - ER on 2/27 - got 12 eggs again - 10 fertilized again - had ET on 3/2 - got BFN on 3/14 ~ IVF Round 3 in May, 2008 - ER on 5/21 - got 14 eggs this time - only 7 embryos as all of a sudden we had sperm issues - transferred back 5 embryos - BFN on 6/5 IVF Round 4 - ER on 7/18 got 9 eggs

- Works - it shows I ovulate

- Repronex Working / Worked
- Used Menopur during IVF cycle in Nov - got 12 eggs - stings when you inject it ~ used again for IVF cycle in Feb - got 12 eggs this time too ~ used for IVF cycle in May - got 14 eggs
