My body has been telling me to have a break, so I've Finished work early the last 4 days.
This has been great too, as I have had many different things on my mnd, and one needed to sort my head out a bit.
A dear friend of mine is a teacher aide at my girls school, and she is such a beautiful soul. I have noticed over a period of a month or so, that her health hasn't been too great, but she is also the kind of person who either avoid's things or shrugs them off.
My friend confided in me, but in my heart I already knew that she had cancer(cervical), and is to start radiotherapy very soon.
Her attitude reminded me of when I was going through the same walk.I laughed everyhing off, and told people things would be fine. I hated it as this was a smack in the face seeing myself in her.
As we are both christian, I asked the father of the church(thats a part of the school), to give her a blessing.My friend thought nothng of it and we proceeded over to the day chapel for prayer, and she was annoited with the oil , used for the sick.
Father(the priest ), lay our hands upon her head to pray for my lovely friend.
After this, she still had her bubbly attitude, and a tear rolled down my cheek.When father looked at me, we had a similar look.
We know she is not going to overcome this, I say this as my heart tells me so.
It does hurt to see such things happening, but one does have to realise that this is also the way of life.
My dear friend, I ask our Saviour to guide you through ur journey, and for Him, no matter what he chooses for you, to lead you in the most lovingly direction possible.
I must go, as I am a little upset.
Peace be with you all, and just let ur nearest and dearest friend know that you love them, appreciate ur neighbours,friends and even enimies, as we never know what is around the corner.
