I was very active all my life. track and field, mountain hiking,dancing,waitressing,and more. Started gaining weight by age 48 they decided to remove my thyriod but I have only gained weight now i have type 2 diabetes and severe arthritis, can barely walk awaiting double knee replacement, pain in knees and feet and hands, insurance will not pay for bariatric surgery. fighting depression.
Treatments
- Atkins Diet Somewhat Helpful
- couldn't stay on it
- Curves Somewhat Helpful
- can't walk or do the exercises anymore
- Eating Healthier Foods Somewhat Helpful
- only eat whole wheat bread,brown rice, use olive oil,never fry foods etc...

- but i get hungry faster

- stay too hungry all the time

- couldn't afford it anymore
Close Arthritis
I am currently awaiting double knee replacement. I have arthritis in my hands and feet too but knees are shot. I use a cane but need a walker now.It"s so hard to do anything.
Treatments
Open Diabetes Type 2
I found out I had diabetes and I thought the doctor made a mistake so I didn't take it seriously. Now I have the most painful neuropathy ever. It feels like I'm walking on glass. I will be walking with a walker soon because my cane does not help anymore. I am having a hard time regulating my blood sugar. I will see the doctor next week. I hope something breaks soon.
