I am a 31 year old pediatric hematology/oncology RN. My husband and I tried for one year to get pregnant before switching md's and my being diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome. I got pregnant after 2 months on clomid and had a miscarriage. I am totally devastated. We have now been trying for over 2 years and are seeing an RE and will have to do IUI.

I think I would tell them where to shove it!!! Sorry to be so blunt. The ONS recommends no woman , TTC, pregnant or breastfeeding give chemo as it is teratogenic to the fetus!!!! Now let me mention that pregnant women are at the greatest risk when it comes to H1N1...Are these nurses idiots? Stand your ground my friend. If not talk to your OB about it & see if you can go out on disability as high risk or something. It is so not worth it. I would slap them for you if I could. So happy you are so close to the 2nd trimester....you are doing great!!!! xxxxx

Close Miscarriage
After trying to get pregnant for one year, I was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome. I had to go on clomid. I finally got pregnant and at my 11 week check up the md found no heartbeat. The baby had died at 8 weeks but since I was taking progersterone, my body did not recognize the loss.
Treatments
- Clomid Working / Worked
- I was told I do not ovulate due to the polyucystic ovarian syndrome. The doctor said it would take 4 months of clomid to regulate me enough to get pregnant, but I got pregnant after only 2 months. The side effects were I was very moody, not in a good way. I will start taking it again when the md says it is ok to try again.
- D&C Working / Worked
- I woke up after surgery and cried b/c the baby was no longer inside of me. I did not have any side effects.
- Prayer Working / Worked
- I have had a ton of support and believe God is helping me get through this time.
Close Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
I was just diagnosed with PCOS In June after trying to have a baby for 1 year. I got pregnant after 2 months on clomid then after 11 weeks miscarried the baby. I will have to try again.

Type: Hormonal DisordersI have PCOS and do not ovulate without the assisstance of Clomid.

Open Endometriosis
I just recently had surgery and was diagnosed with Endometriosis. I was diagnosed with PCOS in June of 07. I have had one miscarriage and have not been able to get pregnant since. Hopefully now that the Endo is gone we can.

- Jury is still out on if it worked.

- I still miscarried.
- Provera Working / Worked
- It stopped my crazy bleeding.
- Surgery Too Soon to Tell
- I just had surgery and it cleaned me out. I was sore afterward but no major side effects. Will see if it worked.
