I'm 42 years old. From Rockford, IL. Had Roux-en-Y laparoscopic gastric bypass in Harvard, IL, on September 18th, 2007. Married to Bryan for 22years. 2 children-daughter, Rhianna 21 and son, Bryson 19-they are my strength and my joy-still. I'm employeed as a data analyst at the local hospital for 24years. I've currently got extremely low self-esteem, but am hoping to change that and start loving myself. I am bipolar, which makes this a real battle-that i'm going to win this time!! My moto from now on is going to be: "DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF, BECAUSE IT'S ALL SMALL STUFF!"

Hello fellow Rockfordian. I read your journal and I share your frustration over weight loss. I've started walking half an hour a day, and plan to up that to one hour soon. I haven't had bypass surgery and I'm currently about 220 pounds. Best of luck on starting an exercise regimen. Julia
