usually if they are in any doubt they will send you for a biopsy but it wouldn't be a bad idea to discuss it with your GP or local breast nurse so they can explain what may have caused this mass and give you some reasurance, then if you're still unhappy with what they've said request an earlier mamogram. Hope all goes well
Just read about your stents collapsing. Stents are an option for me too, but I am waiting til the need is greater. For now I get along. My blockage is in the femoral artery, so it affects my legs. Were you given any information as to why the stents did not hold? Did they get blocked from scar tissue or? Did you have to take any medications after the stents were placed and where were they placed? I thank you for any info you can give me, because the information I was given by the vascular surgeon is so scant. How are you doing today?
Sounds like you are doing well on prednisone also.
glad that you joined this group
WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
at 40 years old, i needed a triple bypass, even though i had no risk factors - non smoker, eat healthy, exercise, not overweight, no diabetes, no family history, nothing. Stopped me in my tracks.
I had an ICD implant in 2005 after a bypass, atherosclerosis, heart failure and v-tach. I felt this was the end, but it was the beginning.
I had a triple bypass at 40 years old. I've always tried to take good care of myself. I exerciesed, wasn't overweight, not diabetic, non-smoker, healthy diet. Not a clue until I felt the tightness in my chest. Apparently, I was having "silent" heart attacks.
After my bypass, my body just did not seem to recover, and soon was diagnosed with Heart Failure too. My EF was down to 32. I had such a hard time getting through a work day. Now it's up to 45!
I got a scare a couple weeks ago when I was told they saw some lumps on my mammogram that wasn't there on the previous one. i went for the diagnostic mammo and was told it was good and not to worry.
