HI,HOW ARE YOU DOING OVER THERE? hows your fatigue doing?????please take care Seattle CFS-fibro-support group leader-Ed
i agree, iam all in favor of helping to make the decisions that will affect my body. I fully believe in adrenal fatigue . Some Dr's think it's a fad diagnosis. You have to have full blown addisons disease for the conventional acth test to show a deficiency. Not so very long ago, chronic fatigue was considered a fad and so was fibromyalgia. Point being, they will some day realize that adrenal fatigue is just as real and a componant of adrenal failure. Good luck with your Dr and stay well.
I hear you, i went years without a diagnosis and felt like it was all in my head. I feel like the health issues cause the depression and anxiety. Dont give up. If you really feel your problems are physical, keep after it. I don't know where i would be if i believed so many drs who said that all was well, It was not. I have a very odd disorder according to my endocrinologist, BTW he is my fourth endo and the best!. The others did the acth saw it normal and dismissed me. That caused me so much stress and anxiety and made me feel like it had to just be me. Hang tough,
Hang in there!
I have hypoglycemia. I have been so ill for 2 years now. Vertigo hit hard Nov. 2006 and have gone down hill ever since. The fatigue is terrible and just about every single symptom one could read with Hypoglycemia I have. I even get hypothermia and tremble with vertigo at night. I am angry really. I have been to a neurologist,ENT,had echocardiagrams,MRI's,more than one...been poked and prodded. Have been ignored in the emergency room. Not one doc took my glucose levels or checked adrenal issues.
Woke upNov. 2006 with the whole room violently turning completely sideways. I gasped hard and grabbed a hold of my husband because I thought I was going to fly off the bed! It was horrible and scary. I started shaking violently and uncontrollably for about 40 minutes. Went to the hospital eventually as I had slurred speech and felt just awful and so dizzy...terrible. Well, it's been over 2 years and have never recovered. Still am dizzy on a daily basis with other symptoms as well.
I was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's. IT was first suggested I had thyroid resistance at the FAtigue Center...but, my new doctor did an antiboidies lab test and found it is Hashimotot's thyroiditis. The dose of T3 I was on has been doubled for now. I went to an endocrinologist who has suggested. I hope some of my symptoms will subside as I continue taking the thyroid med. Will be switching to Armour at 60mg per day. Been a long journey! Hope SOME of my symptoms will be going soon!
I was diagnosed with CFIDS and Fibro not long ago after so much suffering and shuffling from doctor to doctor and having tests after tests. My symptoms are all those associated with these debilitating disorders and have kept me housebound for 20 months now. I have vertiog which is the most debilitating of all my symptoms. I read Dr. Teitelbaums 'From Fatigued to Fantastic' and this lead me to my closest Fatigue/Fibro clinic. UPDATE: was unable to continue going as it is SO expensive.
THis has been a miserable 2 years of many doctors/tests and finally the pieces are coming together. My symptoms are unrelenting fatigue, vertigo, dizziness(debilitating),muscle weakness, muscle burning and pain, back pain (horrible),ear pressure exasperates vertigo, severe hypoglycemia, intolerance to cold, crash with emotional or physcial stress, salt craving most of my life and never knew why?,VERY fair skinned my whole life & never tanned. Until this last summer without trying. Hashimoto's as well.
Was diagnosed with Fibro and CFS this year while searching for an explanation to my debilitating fatigue, vertigo, dizziness, muscle weakness, pain, brain fog, sever hypoglycemic crashes, sensitivity to cold, autoimmune issues. Along the way I have found that I also have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and my new doctor highly suspects Addison's disease of which I will be evaluated for come January.
