FBS reading this morning was 97. We are having a wonderful summer Monday morning. In the 60's and a nice breeze with sunshine Should get into the 80's for the day. What a treat I had last evening when a friend called me to go to the Dairy Queen. We decided to pick up what we wanted and then we drove to the lake near by and watch the children swimming and just enjoyed looking at the lake , watching also people fishing and enjoying a beautiful summer evening with a friend. Now what could be better, I'd say. Once in awhile we will do this as a special treat. Have a beef roast in the crockpot this morning with onions and carrots in it for later on for today. The home will smell good later on here with that roast cooking. Love those crockpots when you don't want to heat up the home using the oven during the summer months. Looking forward to a cool day so I can make hubby some of his chocolate chip cookies. Going to go to the library later on here and enjoy myself looking for some different books to read. I have afew authors I would like to try out. Have a nice day. Hugs and prayers always Gloria

YUMMY...Dairy Queen. Ice cream is and always has been my favorite thing. I eat ice cream almost every day. I watch when I eat it and how much, but I refuse to give it up. I can leave the cake and cookies alone, but not my ice cream. Sounds like a wonderful relaxing time you had at the lake. We have a lake near my daughter's where duck seem to gather. It's nice to go there and watch but they are used to being fed and if you don't bring some bread along to feed them they get a bit aggressive! Hope the rest of your Monday is a great one.

Go DQ!!!!! I love their ice cream! Alas, not one close to me but when we see one I just HAVE to stop and get some ice cream. I use my crockpot year round-saves so much time. Beef roast w/carrots, onions and potatoes are my favorite!
