I'm a proud mom of two wonderful sons. I'm also a teacher with dual certification in ECHD and ELED. I enjoy a range of fun activities. I absolutely love the beach. Ocean City, Md is my favorite. I really enjoy going to Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Md, as well. It's very relaxing! One thing I just can't live without is chocolate!

I enjoy hiking, going bowling, and playing basketball. My sons keep me very busy LOL! I love going to the movies and going out to eat -- Italian food is my favorite! Hersheypark is a frequent stop for us in the summer. I also really enjoy gardening, scrapbooking, and crafts.

Close Cervical Cancer
I had cervical cancer in my young 20's. I am now 40 and it's back. I've had a cpl colposcopies, laser surgery, etc. in the past. I also have enodmetriosis, tumors/cyst on my ovaries - basically many female health problems my entire adulthood.
Treatments
- Colposcopy Somewhat Helpful
- I'm on round two - just sick of it!
Close HPV
I recently (last spring) had an abnormal pap. Long story short it is due to HPV and now I have cervical cancer. I'm actually having surgery in a cpl of days. Freaking out!! Really sucks! I went through all of this in my 20's as well. I'm now 40.
Treatments
- Colposcopy Working / Worked
- I've had a few in my lifetime. Valuable tool for the doc to know what stage you're in with cervical cancer/dysplasia.
- Laser Surgery Working / Worked
- This worked the first time. I'm going in again Wed. for a similiar procedure.
Open Endometriosis
I was diagnosed with endo. in my young 20's along with cervical cancer and HPV. My entire adulthood I've had many female health problems. Tumors and cyst on my ovaries. I continue to have endo. It's controlled with the pill.
Treatments
- Extended-Cycle Birth Control Working / Worked
- It helps - it's better than not having it. I worry about always being on such a high dosage, though.
- Surgery Working / Worked
- I had a laparoscopy. It helped slighty but did not do what the docs had hoped. Painful afterwards and slow recovery. Granted at the same time as the laparascopy the doc removed part of my ovary due to a cyst on 1 ovary and then tumor on the other ovary and I had a DNC. It was a lot at 1 time.
Open Sexually Transmitted Diseases - Female
Type: Genital HerpesI was diagnosed with herpes a few years ago. It's hard sometimes trying to handle having this disease. I got it from my husband. It's just so frustrating. I have a lot of stress right now so I know that doesn't help.
Treatments
- Zovirax Working / Worked
- It really helps to manage it.
