To start off I have to tell you growing up I didn't have many friends, I met my Best Friend in Elementary School and we were Best Friends from then until that dreadful day on Oct. 16th just three years ago, she died in her sleep taking a nap after saying she didn't feel good
Treatments
- Crying Not Working
- the day of her viewing I cried for the first time and then of course at the funeral. I was very sick and had to be in the hospital so I really didn't get to greive every once in awhile someone would say something that would spark me to cry, but it wasn't until this last two years that it has really bothered me.
- Helping Others Not Working
- I love to help others, I've always been that type of person who is always there to have people cry on my shoulder or for me to be there if they need to talk but sometimes I feel like I need to talk and be comforted.
- Keeping Busy Considering
- I try and keep myself busy as much as possible I have a chronic illness that keeps me home and not able to work so it gives me time to think about her sometimes.
- Prayer Somewhat Helpful
- I pray alot, I'm very spiritual person so was she and so that has helped somewhat but I still feel angry with God sometimes and I feel angry and horrible at myself for feeling that way toward God.
- Remembering Not Working
- I have put an angel on my shelf in my room along with a poem and a picture of me sitting next to my Best Friends head stone in memorience of her, I feel like if I put a picture of me like that that it would make me feel a little closer to her
- Scrapbooking Working / Worked
- Keeps me busy and it is a really good stress releaser for me that I have found.
- Support from Friends & Family Considering
- I try and talk to them and sometimes I'll say something funny about my Best Friend, like if something strange happens one time I was in the hospital and the T.V keep turning on even when I would turn it off and so I said all right ___ you need to shut it off and go to bed I'm trying to sleep and when I was trying to tell someone that they get mad or seem frustrated.
Close Fibromyalgia
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2005, after several years of going to the hospital in severe pain and people telling me I was a addict to pain drugs I finally have a answer.
Treatments
- Ultram Somewhat Helpful
- I'm taking ultram four times a day.
Open GERD & Heartburn
after many years of suffering from acid reflux and heartburn it finally got so bad it actually came up and burned my throat and vocal cords and had to learn to talk all over again, It also ruined my lungs I now have to wear oxygen all the time from asperating the acid in my lungs. Had surgery to correct it in 97 but it's back and the damage has already been done.
Treatments
- Aciphex Not Working
- did not work for me it was like taking candy.
- Antacids Somewhat Helpful
- I'm taking antacids right now like they are going out of style and sometimes they work and sometimes it seems like they don't even touch it.
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Somewhat Helpful
- I don't eat a lot of meat it seems to bother me the most and spicy foods. I stay away from that too.
- Carafate Somewhat Helpful
- I took Carafate for a couple of years and didn't do me really any good.
- Dietary Modification Not Working
- didn't work
- Domperidone Not Working
- didn't work for me
- Nexium Not Working
- didn't work for me
- Pepcid Not Working
- didn't work
- Pepto-Bismol Not Working
- I couldn't stand to even look at the stuff I would get sick.
- Prevacid Not Working
- Didn't work
- Prilosec Not Working
- Protonix Not Working
- Didn't work
- Raising Bed Position Somewhat Helpful
- Raising my bed helped to some degree but for the most part it didn't seem to matter.
- Reglan Somewhat Helpful
- Sometimes if I take it by mouth it doesn't bother me as much but I'm in the hospital so much with my stomach that they give it I.V and it makes my stomach cramp really bad.
- Tagamet Not Working
- didn't work
- Erythromycin Working / Worked
- Helped some but not to the degree that it should have.
Open Chronic Pain
I have been having pain everywhere on my body just about my whole life and doctors have never been able to fiquire out what the cause of it is, I feel like I'm going crazy, the doctor's just say I'm crazy or I'm a drug addic or I'm just seeking drugs. I'm just sick of it and need help.
Treatments
- Flexeril Considering
- I was taking it along with a lot of pain meds and other medication so I'm not sure if it worked all that well.
- Heat Somewhat Helpful
- I use heat alot, and it does help to some degree but I can't use the heat all the time.
- Hydrocodone Somewhat Helpful
- I took these for awhile but after a month or so my body got used to it and stopped working for me.
- Meditation Not Working
- I sit in a bath of hot water sometimes, I have a massage mat with heat and I try and meditate while doing those other wise I can't really meditate on my own.
- Morphine Considering
- They gave me morphine and once I got it into my system it worked for maybe two hours, or three at the most and then my pain came back.
- Naproxen Considering
- after taking it for a while it stopped working.
- Nerve Blocks Not Working
- went to a pain management doc and he did a couple of nerve blocks in my neck because I have Migrain Headaches and it didn't work
- Neurontin Not Working
- I had a very very bad reaction
- Oxycodone Not Working
- Physical Therapy Considering
- One of the things they used was the ultrasound massaging machine and heat that worked best. they also made me do excercise but it was very difficult.
- TENS Not Working
- I didn't like the constant pulsating feeling.
- Topamax Working / Worked
- it is working fairly well up until recently I have been having a lot of headaches again, I'm taking Topamax and Keppra together to treat the Headaches and that worked until recently.
Open Hysterectomy
I had a hysterectomy when I was 29 years old. I had endometriosis which caused me to have bleeding 4 out of 6 weeks and I had to change every 30mins because I was flowing so heavy so they had to do a emergency hysterectomy I still have my ovaries but they took every thing else. I have no kids and always wanted them.
