Single with 26 yr old son in the military. Diagnosed with IPF about 4 yrs ago. At same time I was diagnoed with several autoimmune diseases and advised that I had abnormal blood disease. In Feb 2007 I was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer Mutltiple Myeloma. I was put on Thalidimide and dexamethazone and in Nov. 2007 I had a stem cell transplant. My cancer is not curable but I am in remission. My IPF showed a slight decrease in the function test but otherwise I continue to be progressing slowly. I have been truly blessed. I have been out on disability for over a year and considering going back to work but I have a very stressful job.
