Close Narcolepsy
I was involved in a car accident 4 1/2 years ago that left me with "soft tissue injury" About a year after the accident I was told I have "tramua induced" Narcolepsy. I have all the things that go along with Narcolepsy and thankfully was diagnosed soon after I started having all my major symptoms.
Treatments
- Adderall Working / Worked
- I still take 1/2 in the am and 1/2 about 4 p.m.
- Provigil Not Working
- this is what I was put on first and the doc did not know I was also taking diet pills (perscribed)and when he did find out I was taking both and still sleeping we knew there was a problem.
- Xyrem Working / Worked
- just have started on this and I really think this is going to be a miracle for me.
- Concerta Working / Worked
- I take one in the am in addition to my adderall. works right now since I am sleeping better at night.
- Gabitril Working / Worked
- Hated it. I took this at night to make me sleep. It worked at first but soon after I started it I found myself up sitting on the couch rocking back and forth. I thought I was going to go crazy.
- Ambien Working / Worked
- I took this for a long time and seed to work very well. I did some sleep walking while on it. I got up one night and ordered some stuff off ebay for my daughter. Unfortunally it was clothes that she could have worn a few years ago! We had our laugh about it. Thankfully my husband has a sence of humor.
