I'm now back to work, at least half days. I guess I'm doing pretty well as it hasn't even been 3 weeks since the surgery. It feels good to be back to my routine but I'm tired of "explaining" to people what's going on. I won't let cancer define me.

Thank for your journal entry! It helps me to know that there is someone who has survived ovarian cancer. As a breast cancer survivor, (no recurrences since 2000)and now recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer, smokefreemom is absolutely right. We can't let cancer define us. We are all strong, courageous, and totally awesome!

And this will only make us stronger. With the death of my grandfather, the hysterectomy to remove the cancer, and the upcoming chemo, I'm just now finding out how strong I actually am. And wow, you're back to work quick!
