Post-Birthday Detox Mood
Saturday, August 30, 2008 | A Happy story

My birthday was awesome!!Smile I actually had to work a private lesson in the morning, but they gave me a happy birthday Jamba Juice card so that was nice! I went to my awesomely cool therapist afterwards, and then Brian and I hung out until it was time for DINNER!! Yep, the 5 million calorie birthday meal at the Italian restaurant was AMAZING!!Smile omg!

I prepared for the 8,000 calorie dinner by going for a swim in the morning and MAJORLY cutting my calories earlier in the day.  It worked out really well, my food was amazing and then afterwards we went for frozen yogurt! yum!!

It was kind of scary though, eating all of that food.  That restaurant is amazing because everything is homemade (pastas, sauces, breads, etc) and SOOOO good.  It scared the hell out of me though to watch myself shovel piece after piece of breaad into my mouth.Sealed  Obviously I planned for this since May, but still it kind of scared me. Undecided I just need to learn to trust myself.  I second-guess everything that goes into my mouth even when it was planned out and I have every right to eat it.  It is just hard to get over my fear of losing control...Undecided

Today I went for a swim again.  My back is still not better, it gets stiff and hurts on and off every dayUndecided, but the swimming felt really good.

I have a million food and exercise logs to catch up on, so here they all are!

AHHH don't go to IHOP! lol You should come to my IHOP I'd give you free birthday pancakes and serenade you. (if i spelled that right) hehehe Try not to be too tough on yourself foodwise. It's your birthday! Eat what you want and then when you are done celebrating the important part is to get back to healthy eating. Enjoy your amazing cake!!! :-D

That Italian restaurant sounded fantabulous. I'm so glad your birthday was so nice. You did a great job preparing for the eating end of it with your workout. Nice job sticking to the swimming. Hope the back feels better soon. Hope you have a great time at IHOP with your girlfriend. It's managable there, I did it last week.

I wonder if people who lose a lot of weight and maintain for a long time ever feel confident and comfortable letting themselves eat differently than usual. It just seems so unfair to embrace health like you have done, be so successful and on target and still be feeling that worry in the pit of your stomach on your birthday or holidays when you allow the ONE piece of choco motherload cake. ENJOY EVERY BITE without guilt Lisa!!

Love you and enjouy the rest of the b-day festivities. ((HUG))

OMG, I am so impressed with your swimming- way to adapt and still burn a million calories so that you can feel great about eating and enjoying treats on your birthday! For the love of God, if you can't bust your ass all year long and treat yourself on occasion, life is not worth living, is it???HA! Well, kinda dramatic of me to say, maybe, but I want so much for you to just have a blast and forget everything else for the night! LOve you- you deserve to treat yourself Lisa, enjoy!!
