So last night I went back to that lady's gym and did a workout alongside two people. One was her client who (looking at her @ 400 pounds you'd never know) has been with Stacey (the gym owner lady) for a year and has lost a lot of weight. Good for her!
I love hearing about great progress like that!
The other person was her niece who was visiting from Missouri. This 17 year old looked EXACTLY like I did "before." Exactly.
It was freaking wild to be working out next to my before body. Looking in the mirror I was absolutely shocked to really SEE how far I have come. I think I finally "get it" now if that makes sense.![]()
Afterwards she took my body fat and I guess 20% is optimal, last time I had it done (10 lbs ago) I was at 22% but now it says I am at 18.1% body fat. Which she said is low (low body fat? for ME?? lol
) but she said that it's a good sign because athletes have a low percentage and it is healthy. So yippie for that! The machine also took my BMI (which she agrees is a load of crap) and it said I was at 22. But BMI means NOTHING to me because of how much muscle mass I have.

I can imagine working out next to "former yous" must have been a very positive experience. Nothing kicks up the motivation like taking a good hard look at how far you have come. :-) Good luck on your workout!!!!!

I am glad you have seen how far you have come and it gets no clearer thatn looking at yourself in a mirror, next to someone the size you used to be, OMG!!! Sounds like you are loving working out at that gym, it seems to make you really happy. It's sounds really motivating too, for you and the people you are working out with! Congrats on your body fat percentage! That's great! Keep up your hard work!
