Sunday, August 3, 2008 | A Frustrating story

Of course my stupid "kid cold" didn't just go away.  After my run on Friday, I started coughing.  Like HARD.  I was almost to the end of my walking warm-down and I had a horrible coughing attack.Frown  And Thursday night and Friday night I woke up in the night coughing my brains out to the point where I was afraid I might accidentally puke.Cry  And today I woke up with not only my normal runny nose, but coughing up green guck.  EEEEW.  So I went to the doctor and got some steroids and a steriod inhaler (he's almost positive that it's viral), and some antibiodics just to be safe.  I am supposed to not exercise for two days and see how I feel. Undecided

 

My meeting with the lady (with the gym) went well.  She is interested in having me become a personal trainer.  I have to buy the book and study my ass off and take the test through ACE (american council of exercise - a $600 investment for all the materials and the test but she said that she will help me study) and once I pass I can start training people.  While I decide if I want to take that route, I am going in to her gym 3-4 times a week through August to job shadow her and to take a weight training group class. It sounds like fun.  She was really nice and was super excited to hear about my weight loss and she is anxious to take me under her wing.  She thinks I'm "dynamite." (her wordsWink)

 

OMG so Brian and I were getting ready to go out and I go and put on those size 27 amazingly awesome jeans that had just been washed and I could BARELY squeeze myself into them! SurprisedWTF??! Yell I wore them last week and they were loose! Undecided So then I start thinking and remember that when I washed them last, I forgot to take them out of the dryer and they ended up going for 45 minutes on high.Sealed  Oooops! Thank god for that, because I almost couldn't breathe wearing them and was on the verge of a freakout.  Brian said that he liked them better tight because they showed off my "backside"Sealed  LOL men are funny...

 

FRIDAY'S FOOD

Breakfast:

my dad's amazing homemade oatmeal (650)

low carb monster (20)

Lunch:

large acai energizer smoothie (445)

fruit/nut bread bar (216)

with 2 tbsp strawberry cream cheese (100)

Snack:

Time= 1 hour, 2 minutes and 6 seconds 

(I broke my previous best time by 2 and 1/2 minutes!!Laughing)

    Glad you went straight to the doc and got some stuff to help knock out the bug! You ARE dynamic and a personal trainer sounds like a perfect fit for you!!! How exciting!!I have had that "after dryer" affect and I am glad you figured it out instead of freaking too long that you somehow gained weight!! Brian is enjoying the side benefits-HA!! Too cute.     Sorry you are feeling so crappy, it's a good thing you went right to the MD before it got any worse. The personal trainer stuff sounds something right up your alley, how exciting! I hope you love it! God, sometimes I hate the dyer, nothing is more annoying than that, but at least Brian liked the end result--haha. Great job on calories, exercise and H20-per usual! You are doing a great job keeping everything in check!

    You would be an amazing personal trainer! You are always so encouraging to everyone on here and so upbeat. You'd whip people into shape in no time! :-) I'm sorry you aren't feeling well its better you went to the doctor right away that way you can get better faster!
    Ps. I know how you feel about the jeans. I'll get into my clothes after washing forget I just washed them and freak out about how tight they are. then usually the cloth stretches and I feel a whole heck of a lot better lol

    I hope that you feel better, and get rid of all this yuck once and for all! That jean's story is too funny, it completely sounds like something I would do! Moseley always tells me he likes my clothes tight too..boys are funny :) The job thing sounds really cool! I think you would make a fantastic personal trainer, and I think that lady's description of you is quite accurate :) Keep us updated on how you feel! Get some rest and take care!!

    Good lord girl for the healthiest person I know you get sick an awful lot. So your meeting went exactly as expected. NICE! Big investment but worth it because personal trainers make a lot of $$$$$. Good thing you figured out the jean/dryer connection. Brian is probably right about the tight jeans on you! And I remember you posting a pic of the size 10 hanger! I just wanna clarify that I am not a size 12 it's just the miracle ssstrechh factor in those pants but I'm still thrilled to fit in them! So I hope you are napping and recovering you need rest if it's viral. Have a great Sunday and I'll catch you later.

    I hope you are resting up and getting better! I think you need to add some super mega vitamins to your new maintain diet!!!!! The personal training thing sounds like a great thing to pursue...it would be something you do full time or part time for extra money!!!!! And you be great at it! Hope you feel much better very soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
