But first things first- weigh in was today! Last week I was all bummed about continually losing past my goal and so I bumped my calories the hell up to an obscene amount
. Good news because today I am up a pound (it is SO WEIRD for me to say that!
). Here's my stats:
today's weight= 135.5 lbs
weight loss total= 75.7 lbs
On Friday, one of my (favorite) students' parents came up to me and basically offered me a job at their gym that they own. I have to get more information, but they are looking for someone to run a kids program at their gym. The wife also offered me a free personal training session with her (I don't know how I feel about that, because I'm not looking to "tone up" anything). But hopefully I will get their card tomorrow and then I can contact them to set up an appointment. It was kind of cool, because I'm sure if I was fat and teaching their kid they wouldn't have said anything. So that's kind of cool!
We'll see what happens...
My 7 mile run yesterday whooped my ass.
It was bright outside when my alarm went off @ 6am and I set out at 7:00. By the time I was 3-ish miles in, there was NO SHADE. I was roasting hot and I could feel my body responding to the 80+ degree heat outside.
I was beyond red, I was purple in the face. Yuck. It finally got to a point where I stopped and walked for a bit and SERIOUSLY considered going home and not finishing it. I was sooo close to just hoofing it back home but I decided to run on the opposite side of the street where there was a teensey bit of shade and go slow and just finish it. My mom has always reminded me that even if I go freaking slow, I still ran that far and no one can take that from me. So I did it. The heat hurt like hell but I made it, purple face and all.
And super surprisingly, I went two minutes FASTER than last time I did it.
(HUH??) So now I am at 1:04.36 and I have less than 5 minutes to drop to reach my goal. So yay for that!

Yay for your run! I always hate when I can feel the blood pounding in my head when I am exercising. It makes me worried I'll pass out or something. Usually I just remedy it with water. :-) The job offered to you seems like a good opportunity. Always good to have connections anyways.

Way to go! That's so great you are taking such good care of yourself. Neat about the job offer, too. You make me realize I can do it!

That is realy cool that you were offered a job! Hope it works out nicely. I always feel really good when doctors come in to the ER and see me working and offer me a job in their office. It only happened a few times over the years but doesn't it feel great to know your hard work is noticed?? And especially good to you because it's a reflection of all of your health efforts coming together. Congrats on the gain, yes weird but OK. Hope you feel really proud of what you've accomplished now, with the run and really getting healthy. Take the free personal training session maybe she'll teach you something you didn't know or vice versa. Oh yea and SUNSCREEN SUNSCREEN SUNSCREEN!!! Love ya!

Seems like a good opportunity for you. I would LOVE the free personal training sessions! I love learning new things, another good opportunity for you. I think you are really on track with things, congrats and keep it up!

Yeah, you are managing those pounds well! Good luck with making that decision about swim class. You are such an inspiration. I can't wait to get started tomorrow now that I am off of work. Take care!

that would be interesting to see what they have to offer at the Gym and probbaly comes with a free membership as well.
I know you dont need to tone anything up most likely, but just see what the free session is about. maybe you can take away something new to help with your workouts ...
Super proud of you as I always am, everyday.
