So let's start with my pulmonologist appointment. He was this amazing doctor who listened to me talk about my symptoms, history, listenend to my lungs, and was insanely thorough with everything.
I brought in the 3 chest Xrays plus a list of all FIVE antibiodics that I have been on (OMG!
) since April. He said:
-I DID have pneumonia (he could see it on my first xray) but it is long since gone.
However (a BIG however
)...
-He thinks I have a hairline fracture in one of my ribs, which is inflamed and is why I hurt like hell when I try to work out and/or breathe in deeply
-If that is not the case, he thinks it (hold your breath and say your prayers that it IS NOT this) may be a pulmonary embolism, which means a blood clot in my lung
.
-Tomorrow I am going for a CT scan in the a.m. and then I see my doc again on Thursday afternoon.
Just say some prayers for me and my faulty left lung
...
But enough bad news! My GOOD NEWS (omgomgomgomg!!!
) is that after my dinner, Brian and I went for a walk and did some window shopping. Well the "window shopping" took us into a store that had ALL tops and dresses for $17.99 and jeans for $24.99. So we go in and I am timid, like what the heck size AM I?
These sizes were in 25 - 31 and since I have never in my life worn anything with those sizes, I naturally pick up the 31's. And so I ask the girl what size she thought I'd be and say "maybe 30's or 31's?" and she was like "oh NO, you would be right here in the 27, 28 range!"
She hands me this pair of 27s and I try them on and OH MY GOD I could not believe how good I looked!!! I was seriously (no joke!) jumping up and down and I jumped on Brian squealing "baby I look SKINNIEEEEE!!!!" (can you hear the squeal?
lol) So I bought them, size 27 darkwash slightly flared jeans for $27.01 and practically skipped out that door.

Insanely thorough doctor is what we want! I am thrilled that you found a great Dr that seems to care and is doing a CT on you. I was hoping you'd get a CT scan because in my professional uneducated medical opinion :) it seemed like what would be what was ordered at the hospital for someone with your illness. YIPPIE Dr! Hope the test went well and you have only a broken rib! And a PE is totally treatable. I'll be thinking of you today!
I also wanna say I think you are doing an amazing, amazing job keeping your health a priority as much as you can during a really tough time being thrown out of your routine and being sick and working so much. You are really strong even when you don't feel it all the time, you are. Look at your food and water log--perfect!
Best $27.01 you ever spent right? WHOO-HOO!!!!! Teeny tiny ass is the best reward for all the hard work you put into yourself. And well deserved! Please God pleeeeease let it be me someday!
Love you lots and am so happy someone is taking good care of you now!
