So I have been kind of second-guessing my food intake lately (calories, nutrients, etc) so I went to see a "nutrition counselor" (clearly not a proper nutritionist) at my school today. Yep, that will be the last time I ask anyone for diet advice. It's like she had a script on what to say to the vast majority of college students who want nutrition advice. But then I started telling her my story and she didn't have any advice for me. Except that I should eat "four to five almonds" for a snack! 4 to 5 almonds???
She's got to be kidding me. My stomach needs bulk and there's probably as much bulk in almonds and there are in 4 to 5 m&m's. So yeeaaahh....
And then she was telling me that I eat too much fruit. Another WTH?! So I left there pissed. Stupid biotch. ![]()
Other than that, though, my day went well. My calorie intake was good (the only good piece of advice she had is that she showed me that I need between 1,400 and 1,900 calories a day to lose and at 140, I will need around 2,400 cals per day). And that was according to www.mypyramid.gov so I believe it...

Tomorrow I am going to a bra fit appointment and I will be getting some new bras!! Wonder bra here I come! lol Cause seriously, I'm like a AA now. As in daffy duck training bra style.
Kind of embarassing, so hopefully the lady will have some good suggestions for me! lol

Good luck at your bra fitting :) I am trying to get up the nerve to go to the lady that Emily75 suggested on here.... I am just embarassed to show someone my still enormous boobs. If you would like a transplant to share some of the love, you can have some of mine ;). By the way, I don't like mypyramid. It notified me I am fat and at risk. No duh. Then it said I should eat 2000 calories to lose weight. Ummmmm... NO? LOL. Anyway, I am glad that you got something out of your meeting at least. 3 more workouts this week crazy girl!

I didn't see any almonds in the food log Dr. SmileLisa! At least you know what you need to eat now. I bet those school dietitions see a lot of wacky students. You probably threw her off. I have to go and message WyominJo about not being embarassed with the bra fitters. Those ladies see boobs that look like tennis balls in gym socks. BUT you my friend are kicking ass! Keep it up I'll throw a prayer in for your 90% goal! You're doing great! Only 3 workouts left! WOW! LOVE YA!!!

TOO MUCH FRIUT????!!! haha wow. That's completely backwards coming from a "nutrition counselor"... I'm wishing for you too! You've been eating so much better this week and the exercise has been INSANE and HARDCORE so I hopehopehope your body responds on the scale. You deserve it!! And no shame in some wonderbras, I would give you some of my boobs if I could. :)

I am sorry that the nutritionist gave you less than desirable information...it all seemed sort of silly to me! It seems like you are getting a pretty well rounded diet so I wouldn't be too concerned. I do think that the calorie advice was great, though...at least you were able to get something out of the meeting! As always...you are doing great and good luck on your weigh in Sunday, I am sure that you will make your goal :)

It really was a great idea to see the nutritionist- too bad she was not helpful, sounds like a robot if she wasn't pumped by your story with lotsa good ideas! Sounds like you got it figured out though. I am going to one of those bra fitters too when I get close to my goal. She can find you something to make the most of the girls ya got! I would GLADLY trade my enormo's for AA. When I lose all this flab, I will be very close to the same. Good news is they are shrinking! I had to buy a new one last week a size down. I always learn something after reading your journal, thanks for sharing and congrats on the 7th workout!!!
