Tired and cranky but six workouts down... Mood
Thursday, May 15, 2008 | A General Update story

Hey everyone! I am so freaking tired and cranky.  I don't know why, but I'm thinking it's the combination of it being the week before finals and the fact that I am doing a LOT of working out.  So I have been cranky.  I am taking Sunday off as far as the exercising goes, because my goal of 10 workouts is only through Saturday.  So Sunday will be my day to NOT work out and I am so looking forward to that...

Wednesday's Workout #1 (#5 for this week)

One trip up and down the hill, totaling 1.4 miles.  I tried my hardest to push myself to run as fast as possible since it was a short distance.  My time was 13 minutes and 11 seconds.

stretching

Wednesday's Workout #2 (#6 for this week)

Treadmill (1.5 miles/6 laps total):

1 lap warm up walk/jog

1 mile ALL OUT SPRINT @ 8.0 speed (7:30 min/mile pace) and the last half of the 4th lap was @ 8.5 speed (7:03 mile pace!)

1 lap walk warm down @ 3.9 speed

stretching

The I held two 35-second planks (my abs kept giving out today- weird.)

a bunch of weight lifting with 15 lb dumbells

stretching

Wednesday's Water

47 oz total water during workouts +

104 oz during day/night=

TOTAL of 151 oz today

Wednesday's Food

Breakfast:

slimfast cappuchino (180)

low carb monster (20)

a whole lot of grapes (100)

1 oz lowfat cheese stick (60)

Lunch:

low carb monster (20)

banana (110)

slimfast strawberry (180)

Snack:

large apple (100)

low carb monster (20)

Dinner:

strawberry coconut smoothie (300) They ran out of boba!! WTH?!!Cry

chipotle (690)

chips from chipotle that Brian & I shared (285)

After dinner:

Oreo bar (100)

TOTAL= TOO MUCH Undecided

Honestly though, I don't feel like I ate poorly today in my choices of foods (besides the chips from chipotle).  I had a well-rounded burrito w/black beans, rice, cheese, a DAB of guac, & lettuce; and then grapes, apple, banana, low fat cheese, 2 slimfasts, and a smoothie.  I fed my body and I don't feel too bad about the foods I ate today.  It's just hard trying to count calories while I am working out twice a day.  I'm stuck in this in-between stage and it's hard...

I think that your eating is just fine! When you are pushing your body as hard as you are it needs ALOT of fuel! Your probably feeling hungrier than normal because your body is telling you it needs more calories. You are doing so great with everything, and I know your goal is right around the corner :)

You are doing just fine! It is hard to do, but you are such a motivated person that I am sure you will be okay! Keep up the good work!

You are doing just fine with it, although I am so worried you will pull something or just come down sick from the stress. I know, I am a mama hen, without any chickies. (believe me, I prefer it that way for a while yet) Listen to your body and give it more if it needs it. Depriving yourself only leads to disaster the other way if you aren't careful.

Wow - with all that exercise, you shouldn't worry about what you ate. You're doing great! It's been a cranky week for me, too. Hopefully tomorrow will be the start of a crank-less weekend! I'm sure my husband hopes so! xoxo

Glad you're feeding yourself enough to sustain the crazy workout regime! I'm so impressed as always but especially now with your drive. Keep up the effort and listen to the body. Great job!
PS I'm on the tired and cranky team too today.

You are rocking the excercise, and are so smart to be drinking a ton of water. Your food looks good to me! Your smoothies and monster drinks probably have plenty of protein. You need it for all your monster workouts. I think our bodies don't like us to push them too hard, but I tend to anyway when I am trying to lose and shake up the metabolim. I think it is normal to feel off once in a while, just hope you feel back to your old self soon. You continue to kick butt, great job!!!!

Oh no! No boba! I think that's the reason behind the crankiness haha. Your food choices really do look great. With all the exercise, you need those extra calories and I'm glad youre listening to your body. I think that may be one of the hardest parts... learning to be in tune and actually listen to what our body needs. You are amazing!
