the girls Kitty is travelling with are moving on to fiji after they say goodbye at the airport. So now we get a text that she wants to go with them....Which would be fantastic of course but would mean disaplinary action at work and she would miss this years pay rise. Also any funds she had would go on the flight to Fiji and the admin for changing her flight home. Plus she has promised to go to New York with her friend colette in the spring.
So it looks as if I am going to be the one to put the damper on things as usual.

Yes it would be great fun but we all must learn to honor prior commitments! She will have to be satisfied with the fun she has already had.

I'm sure she's disappointed but she just had an amazing trip to Australia and like you said, gets to look forward to New York. I hope she'll not be upset for too long. I always have to be the bad guy at our house. Brian says he's the "fun one" and I'm the "fun sucker" when it comes to Brooke so welcome to my world...lol. I hope you're doing well!

Mean Mommies of the World, Unite! (I have had to put the squash on some of my daughter's "big ideas", too.) It's hard to come back to reality...but I'm sure it will all be good. And to New York -- my FAVORITE place ever -- lucky girl.
