Hi I am a warm sweet caring type of person who my friends love so very much. My life has been rough growing up, but I suppose everyone goes through a rough time at one stage in their life. I am an active member in Rescue with the State Emergency Service (SES) and have been back for 5 yrs now.I am now also qualified in Air Search & Rescue with AusSAR. Having MD hasn't stopped me living the life I want as it was taken away from me at an early age. (read journal) Im not giving up on life just to go into a wheelchair and give up everything. Well if you want to add me as a friend, please do I'd love to have more friends on here. There are a few special people in my life and some are on here but the most important ones are my new partner, my kids & my 2 step daughters.

Fishing, it gives me time out just to myself when I need it.... Cooking, well we all have to eat..lol...... Longstitch...Love it...... Beekeeping.....miss it as I was once a fulltime beekeeper.

Close Chronic Pain
I have Muscular Dystrophy and I get a lot of pain most times, especially before, during and after storms.But I have to put up with it as I do storm jobs.
Treatments
- Heat Somewhat Helpful
- Goanna Heat cream I find works till it wears off
- Morphine Considering
- this is the next step they want me to try, I have valium tabs at home, but they knock me right out and stay in my system for up to 3 days.
- Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- I was told Im too fit for hydrotheraphy, but not strong enough to go to gym.
Close Syringomyelia
I have one in my spinal cord about 5 cms long from tip to tail in the thorasic area. The top neurosurgeon doesn't want it touched as it will put me on 4 wheels.

I am a sufferer of Muscular Dystrophy and like to get in touch with others.
Open Smoking Addiction & Recovery
I started smoking back in the early 90's to help cope with stress. I gave up in 2006 and lasted for about 3 weeks. I went from smoking to chewing gum every time I wanted a smoke. When my ex wife started up with her shit, I started smoking again. Now I want to try and give it back up hopefully for good this time. I would like a smoke free life again.
