I'm really not sure why I chose to make a goal. I don't think that I have a snowballs chance in hell of attaining it. Pure negativety, I know. It will happen when it's supposed too, I just don't know when. 
Even with DH being in the Air Force, it doesn't help us out much with the $$ aspect of things. They will pay for all lab work, but nothing else. $$ is an issue for us. Any procedures we may need to go through, are put on hold. 
DH had a military UR tell him, that he should get another vasectomy reversal. Tells DH that we will have a greater chance at conception, then our chances would be with IVF. However, DH's civilian UR told him, that our best chance and hope lay with IVF. The civilian UR gave that opinion, before the military UR gave his. Who do you trust/believe?
Well, come heck or high water, DH is going to get the reversal done AGAIN. Only because we don't have the $$ for IVF and the military pays for the reversal. The first one he had done, we paid for out of pocket. Almost $6,000.00 lost to scar tissue build-up.
I fear the same will happen again.
Anyway, it will be two years since the last vasectomy reversal, on 2 Feb 2008. We probably won't get the second one done until March. That is just a guess. DH's schedule is really bad right now. He is in a 2 month long training course and graduates from that on 15 Feb. Then, there is the possibility of getting a new position in his career field. If he gets it, that will mean another week of training. So, March is a long shot. DH still needs to be seen by the military UR, for AT LEAST 2 preliminary visits before he will schedule the surgery. It's always hurry up and wait.
I REALLY want to be pregnant by this coming Christmas. I want to feel my baby growing inside of me. 
Just the mere thought of makes me happy. I want to see my DH's face light up, when I tell him we are expecting our little miracle. Because if it does happen by Christmas.... It will truly be, our miracle.
I pray that this reversal works and works VERY well. If it happens, wonderful. If not, then I guess it is on to IVF for us.

I know EXACTLY how you feel! My DH had his vasectomy reversal in 11/06. It was successful for about 3 mths and then blocked again! His insurance paid the $15k for the first surgery and we were going to have to pay $13k for the second. We were going to go to Dr. Sherman Silber in St. Louis Mo. He is the best of the best, he pioneered the procedure, but we couldn't afford the healthcare loan payment of $384 / mth for the next 4 yrs and not have it guaranteed to work. It is a miserable feeling to see their other child walking around and knowing that you can't do the same for them, it's excruiating for me. I just want to be able to hand my DH a baby and say...Look at what our love did! I am with you all the way and I know how your heart hurts. I am here for you, my sister through IF. Oh! and I'm a Mississippi girl too!
