I am a 27 yo stay at home mom. I have two children, a boy and a girl, ages 3 & 4. They keep me busy and I love being their mom. I recently lost a baby at 12 weeks and have just found out we are expecting again. I am cautiously optimistic about this pregnancy since the last one was so traumatic for me. I am here to find comfort in the similar stories of others.

Close Miscarriage
I got pregnant in July '07. We had gone back and forth over the thought of having a third for over a year. The pregnancy seemed to be an answered prayer to our uncertainties. Almost immediately, I noticed light brown spotting, but was told twice that the u/s looked good and other than the small subchorionic bleed I had (which was causing the spotting) everything was normal. I miscarried at 12 1/2 weeks after no further checks by my doc to make sure baby was okay. Now I wonder what went wrong.
Treatments
- D&C Working / Worked
- I had no complications.Spotted for two weeks, but my doc said this was normal for up to 6 weeks post D & C.
Close Pregnancy After Loss/Infertility
I am pregnant again after a recent loss. I am very scared that the same thing is going to happen all over again.
Open Parenting Preschoolers (3-5)
Hi! I have a 4 year old girl and a 3 year old boy. They are my whole world, but can also be a very challenging pair too! I am here to share my stories with others and hopefully pick up some new tricks of my own!
Treatments
- Child Time-out Working / Worked
- Time out works best on my son who hates to sit still. I have found this method to get their attention the most.
- Patience Working / Worked
- Patience is something that I am usually working on. When they were really little, I had NONE, and went off the handle often. Through a lot of answered prayer, I have received God's grace in the ability to just take a deep breathe and work through problems appropriately.
- Positive Reinforcement Working / Worked
- My kids love to be rewarded or to feel like they have done something wonderful. This is an amazing way way to teach kids since it makes everybody feel good!
