I am 38 years-old. Divorce was finalized in 12/08 process, after being married for 12 and a half years, with two boys, ages 10 and 7. I was an avid sports nut, especially hockey and football, before the MS kicked in. I have stopped playing all sports for the fear of any rough contact could bring on an onset. I haven't run since the onset of MS. The divorce will happen before my ex-wife finishes her degree. That of course, wasn't the original plan, but I have made her life unbearable. So I need to let her free and give us both time to heal, me more so though. My MS has led me down a path were I am not the same person I was when I met my stbx, as well of the loss of a job about 6 years ago. Now just taking one day at a time.

I was originally diagnosed in 6/95. Doctors thought I had a stroke or diabetes, but after an MRI and a spinal tap, the MS ruling came. I have left optic nerve damage, which eye doctors never picked up on until the fall of 1996. The best my vision can be corrected in my left eye is 20/40. I didn't have another syptom until a flare-up in 10/03. I just went to the optometrist, the optic nerve damage is somehow gone.
I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH DEPRESSION SINCE SEPTEMBER POF 1996. IT SEEMS TO BE BETTER IN THE WINTER MONTHS RATHER THAN THE SUMMER. I SEEM TO BE ON A ROLLERCOASTER OF LATE WITH MY MOOD.
I HAVE BEEN MARRIED SINCE FEB. 4, 1995 AND WAS DIAGNOSED WITH MS FOUR MONTHS AFTER I WAS MARRIED. IT HAS BEEN A ROLLERCOASTER, BUT I THINK IT IS FINALLY COMING TO THE POINT WHERE AFTER MY FINISHES HER DEGREE IN TWO YEARS WE WILL BE GETTING DIVORCED. WE HAVE TWO BOYS, 5 AND 8.
