I've been Diagnosed since 16 but have been the most proactive for treating it in the last few years. Within these last few years I found I also have ADHD. I am a divorcee, but my ex wife is my best friend. Close Bipolar Disorder
I have been diagnosed since I was 16, how only seriously sought treatment in my late 20's.
Treatments
- Lamictal Working / Worked
- I love Lamictal. It has worked the best of all treatments I've tried. But lost insurance and can't afford now
- Lithium Working / Worked
- I love my lithium. It's the grand dad of all the mood stabilizers but still very effective. Just make sureto drink plenty of water as it is a salt.
- Risperdal Not Working
- Seroquel Working / Worked
- Use as a Sleep aid.
- Tegretol Not Working
- Broke out into horrible rash and mouth filled with canker sores. Starting Lithium again
- Wellbutrin Somewhat Helpful
- Was a Zombie on this.
Close ADHD / ADD
I was diagnosed in 2003 with ADHD. At that same time I stopped denying my BP since the the ADHD drugs triggered it in a major way. now medicated for both.
