Close Addison's Disease
Diagnosed with Addison's in 1999. Have acquired several complications as a result of the medications and the disease itself.

Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionSuffering from depression since 1999 when I was diagnosed with Addison's disease.
Treatments
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Working / Worked
- Works occasionally. Having trouble finding the right therapist.
- Elavil Working / Worked
- Works better than the many other medications I've been on.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Works occasionally. Having trouble finding the right therapist.
- Support from Friends & Family Somewhat Helpful
- Few friends understand the severity of my depression.
- Writing Somewhat Helpful
- Sometimes I'm too depressed to even write in my journal.
Open Diabetes Type 2
Treatments
Open Insomnia
Actually, I have 'delayed sleep phase syndrome' and 'free-running internal circadian rhythm'. In other words, my body thinks the day is longer than 24 hours. Currently not on any medications for these disorders.
Open Seasonal Affective Disorder
Diagnosed with SAD several years ago. Currently using a blue-wavelength light box for treatment.
Open Chronic Pain
Have had chronic back pain for as long as I can remember, but it got much worse after being put on medication for Addison's disease.
Treatments
- Heat Somewhat Helpful
- It's pretty hit and miss.
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- Works well in conjunction with Fentanyl patch.
- Duragesic Patch Working / Worked
- Works well in conjunction with Hydrocodone.
Open Osteoporosis
Recently diagnosed with Osteoporosis, caused by long-term steroid use for Addison's disease.
