I’m With You
I have had a fistula for about six months now. I have had six surgeries on my arms and my chest and right thigh. The fistula in my upper left arm seems to working now. You are in my prayers.

Hi Sue, How is the dialysis going? I had a kindey removed back in 1977. I had the emergency surgery for the advanced stage colon cancer back in 2002. It is the CFIDS-Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome that I have been completely disabled with now for the past twelve years that has just knocked me down totally. While my husband was still alive coping with disability was a challenge but now that he is gone and I face all of this alone it just has been a bit rough at times. Of course it did not help when my family - pastor and church 'kicked me to the curb' after my husband's death. That heartache will take a very long time to completely heal I fear. My garden and pet birds keep me going through all of this. Sending you a few rays of sunshine along with some gentle (((HUGS))) Patricia

Hi My name is Sue. I had a liver transplant in 1988 and now it's my kidneys turn to act up. I knew it was coming as they warned me years ago that this could happen. Next week 10-22-07 they will be putting my fistula in!! Can't wait!! (yea sure) needless to say this is just another stepping stone I have to climb!!

Treatments
- Cyclosporine Working / Worked
- never had problems with rejection at all. Just killed the old kidneys
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- works but makes for very thin skin.
- Lexapro Working / Worked
- for depression
Open Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
My story is too embarassing to tell lol...but I know one thing IBS is the pitts. Sometimes have to stay home because I'm afraid to be in public places where I have to search for a restroom.
Treatments
- Prevacid Working / Worked
- That helps with the acid reflux but not with IBS. If I eat oatmeal or salad everyday it helps alot.

My son and his girlfriend are both bi-polar and now she is having a baby and can't take some of her meds....It's insane!!
