Im 64 and retired, i pass my time on computer, also breed tropical fish which i enjoy.I have a cat called Twinkle if you go to my pictures you will see her. Other things about me. I have copd, osteo athritis & osteoporosis.I keep a positive attitude on it and it gets me through.Always someone worse than yourself.I lost my sister 3yrs ago to copd just before her 63d birthday. She wouldn't stop smoking so thats how it ended up.She didn't suffer, she died peacefully in her sleep which was a blessing.RIP.Just 6mths after that i was taken into hospitial myself with pneumonia, plurasy, & clot on lung. They said not to worry as they caught me on time & thanks to them they got me well again.I must admit i was really scared as i also thought it was the end of the road for me to.Now i'm looking on the positive side of life & living it to the full as best as i can.So it's not all doom & gloom.Take Care & big hugs to all who read this.Love from Ellen in bonnie Scotlandxxx

I love all music especially 60s, Elvis is my idol though.I love to go up north in my country especially round Ben Nevis it's so beautiful. If you ever Come to Scotland go to Skye as it's so serene, the views are fantastic.I also go abroad in our winter months as the heat is good for my athritis.Think thats about it.Forgot to say i have 3grandchildren, boy&girl twins who are 13yrs & another girl 9yrs old. They live in England&i miss them very much.

Ellen, I keep wondering how your scope went on Monday. I hope you are ok! And I hope they've found some answers. I also hope you weather the big storm well. It was impressive to say the least! I saw some videos on BBC-UK and it looked like a hurricane when it hit Britain. Anyway, I sure hope you are all right. Missing you, and loving you much! Sue
*HUGS* ellen hope all went well x

I was diagnosed with copd 14yrs ago, have my up and down days.I am coping alright with it at moment.I have been put on Spiriva which has given me a new lease of life.So anyone with this disease it's worth a try as you've nothing to lose.Good luck to all who try it.
When i was young, which is a long time ago now.lol i always had ear problems constant ear ache, never forget the pain, carried on until the early 70s then had an op in my left ear to remove the small bone that was covering my eardrum, that was very successful,&now that is my good ear. Then my right ear got really bad,but said better to try a hearing aid first as they didn't want to operate on that one as i being older now they said it might not work&was too risky.Had my hearing aid 3yrs.alls well.
Dx with osteo athritis in the 80s.Was medically retired from the met police(traffic division)no longer could do the job.Now have it mildly in knees, hips&spine, but still fairly mobile, worse in winter,im very stiff with it&can still cope but stops me doing most things i like.ie Golf.
