Close Bipolar Disorder
I am 33 and mother of 2 (10 & 8) and was diagnosed as bipolar around five years ago. Have been through a plethora of medications and combinations but have yet to find the right one.I am a recovering alcoholic/addict(benzos)mainly. I tend to rapid cycle and have mixed episodes.Been in and out of rehab/detox/residential/and mental institutions. Baker acted twice. What else can I say.
Treatments
- Abilify Not Working
- Did not stabilize moods
- Clonazepam Working / Worked
- Works great on anxiety but highly addictive and I had to be detoxed from it in hospital
- Depakote Not Working
- did not stabilize moods and a huge gain in weight
- Geodon Not Working
- did not stabilize mood swings
- Lamictal Somewhat Helpful
- took it in combination with lithium but during manic episode I stopped taking my mistake
- Lithium Working / Worked
- Works in high doses but not at this point. Had to stop taking it because it made me so sick.
- Risperdal Not Working
- did not work
- Seroquel Somewhat Helpful
- worked for a few weeks but built up tolerance and had to take massive doses so doc stopped it
- Tegretol Too Soon to Tell
- Just started taking it on 3/2/08.
- Trileptal Not Working
- did not stabilize
- Wellbutrin Somewhat Helpful
- Stopped the depression but may cause manic episode
- Zyprexa Somewhat Helpful
- Only worked at 20 mg for sleep not racing or intrusive thoughts or urges
Close Bisexuality
I am a divorced mother of 2. My daughter is 10 my son 8. I was married for 6 years to my high school sweetheart.I was never unfaithful to him but he knew before me that I was attracted to women as well.His biggest fear was that I would leave him for a woman. Almost immediately after our divorce I did get together with my first GF and it was wonderful.Now my kids are wondering why Ive had "friends" that are around for a while then dissapear. Im at a loss for words with them.
