About Me
I was diagnosed with HEPC in early October 2007. Last night I saw my medical chart. I'm considered to have a very high viral load and my ALT/ALkp/AST levels all well above the normal range. I also have overly high blood Creatinine and Blood Urea Nitrogen. I go to the tx doctor on 12/28 to see what comes next.

Close High Blood Pressure
diagnosed w/HBP last summer when it got to 180/105. Runs in my family. Mama had it. I was dizzy and getting nosebleeds and headaches. My blood Creatanine is too high. I also have Hepatitis C, so who knows if that is affecting my BP.
Treatments
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- I restrict salt and have for years because of dealing with Mama's HBP.
- Dyazide Working / Worked
- Works but sometimes drops my BP too low. I get foot cramps, too. Potassium and magnesium help with that somewhat.

Open Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)
I had an abdominal scan and they found I have overly small, cystic kidneys. I've had proteus infections and stones. I have high blood creatanine and BUN. I also, to add insult to injury, have Hepatitis C. My maternal grandfather died of what was then known as Bright's Disease. I have high blood pressure and was having problems with swollen feet and ankles.

I am having financial challenges because I have a job that provides no sick leave, no medical insurance,no paid vacation. I was diagnosed with HEPC & am having to pay a lot of my own medical expenses, even after they have been reduced on a sliding scale. I just tried to file my taxes & found out I OWE the IRS! I only made $13385 last year!
