About Me
I worked for many years as a nurse before my daughter was born (11/05). Currently I am loving being a stay-at-home wife and mother. My 2 year old daughter has a severe food allergies. She has anaphylactic reactions to sesame and peanut, she is also allergic to egg and peas...in addition we avoid all treenuts and sunflower seeds as well. We are expecting baby #2, due in August. We're very excited about it :)

Close Food Allergies
I'm a mom of a 2-year-old with food allergies. She has anaphylactic reactions to peanuts and sesame. She is also allergic to eggs and peas. We avoid all treenuts and sunflower seeds as well, because of their risk of cross-contamination with peanuts. It's challenging sometimes!

- We do a strict avoidance diet.
- EpiPen Working / Worked
- We keep it on hand at all times.

Open Eczema
I have a 2 year old with food allergies and eczema that flares up regularly on her cheeks and occasionally on her legs/arms as well. Maintaining a strict avoidance of allergins in diet is our best method of controlling the eczema.
Treatments
- Betamethasone (Topical) Working / Worked
- We'll use this if the dryness/rash gets severe. I don't like using it on her face since I'm afraid she'll rub it into her eyes.
- Elidel Working / Worked
- This cream is wonderful! Non-steriodal and can be used safely on her face/hands with prescription strength results.
- Eucerin Working / Worked
- We use baby Auqaphor, a Eucerin product, it works great for us.
- Hydrocortisone Working / Worked
- Same comment with this cream, we have a prescription strength and we will use it if dryness/rash gets severe but I hesistate applying it to her face in case she would rub it into her eyes and/or ingest it.
