Close ADHD / ADD
My daughter, now age 11, was diagnosed first in school after many tests and then the pediatrician. I was in denial for a couple of years regarding the condition- now that her symtoms are more predominant- I am looking for support to help me get thru this as a parent.
Close Asthma
Type: OtherDiagnosed at age 20 with (chronic)Bronchial Asthma- however had all my life, parents always thought it was just a chest cold. Need inhalers to get better every time I get sick or I end up in ER.
Treatments
- Albuterol Working / Worked
- Working very well but tastes bad- its worth the bad taste. I don't overdo like most people on inhalers- too many puffs can lead to jitters.
- Breathing Exercises Not Working
- Yeah- right! lol
- Flovent Working / Worked
- Have used it, works same as albuterol
Open Back Pain
Diagnosed with two hurniated disks at age 18 in low back from work related injury. Sometimes need cane to walk with. Was told unless I have surgery which is not recommended, I will be like this for the rest of my life and was told to deal with it.
Treatments
- Bedrest Somewhat Helpful
- Can only lay there for so long- it helps the body but not the mind.
- Chiropractic Adjustment Not Working
- No way am I doing that again.
- Heat Working / Worked
- Ahhhh- yes, feels really good but very temporary.
- Hydrocodone Somewhat Helpful
- sometimes, if the pain is feeling minor
- Ibuprofen Not Working
- Completely useless.
- Naproxen Somewhat Helpful
- Pain is still there- but I just don't care kinda drug. Works the mind- not the body.
- Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- The electro pad is the best- its all temp. Need to build on other muscles- annoying but okay.
- Relaxation Working / Worked
- Usually about the only thing that works. Time and rest.
