i read your post about your nephews mother and just wanted to give you a hug! stay strong and do whats best for this little boy! i know its hard but in the end you will feel better that you did your best to protect him from getting hurt.

Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI have been "dealing" with depression or "mood disorder" since i was 12. And boy, is it a rollercoaster...
Treatments
- Effexor Not Working
- i was literally a zombie. i also gained about 60 lbs. i was on a zyprexa and effexor combo.
- Paxil Not Working
- I was prescribed Paxil when i was about 18. I dont remember it helping much.
- Wellbutrin Not Working
- This one...i think i was 19 when we tried this one...again, no improvement.
- Writing Somewhat Helpful
- This helps! I need to stick with it. When im upset, this seems to be a great release!
- Zoloft Not Working
- This was the first drug i was prescribed. I was maybe 14? To me, it seemed to make my depression worse.
Close Self-Injury
...Started around the age of 12 or so. as i got older, i thought maybe, it was some teenage angst thing, rebellion of some kind...and that i would "grow" out of it.....and here i am at 27. Guess it wasnt.
Open Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
My doctor told me they are not sure if trichotillomania is an obsessive compulsive disorder, or an impulse control disorder. I started pulling my hair out around age 14. I have always had long long hair. Last year it got to the point that my hair was so thin, i chopped it all off. Another compulsion of mine is counting. Drives me crazy!

Open Hidradenitis Suppurativa
I was just diagnosed this past year. I went to the doctor to have these "boils" lanced, and found out what it is. It has been occuring since i was a teenager....god its so painful. I get them under my arms. And i recently noticed when i take antibiotics, it flares up.
Open Diets & Weight Maintenance
I started gaining weight when i was about 4. By the time i was in 5th grade, i weighed 169lbs. I have lost the weight, gained it back, numerous times. In 2002 i went from 230 to 180 doing the quick weight loss diet. Im doing it again now. so far ive lost 6lbs in the last 2 weeks...i know i can lose it again!

- only lost 3 lbs on this one.

- combined with eating healthy, this was great! i felt awesome.

- didnt finish this one.
