    • Close Autism / Autism Spectrum

Our son was diagnosed at age 3. He is currently in a special needs class at school, and doing well. At this time, we are dealing with some frustration and anger issues, and I'm hoping to find some answers for this problem.

      Treatments

      Behavior Management Working / Worked
Robbie responds well to behavior modification. It's been a lifesaver time and time again!!
      Crying Somewhat Helpful
Like most ASD parents, when the frustration gets to be too much, crying is all I can do to release it.
      Early Intervention Somewhat Helpful
Robbie has been in typical classes up until this school year.He is in a special needs class now, and seems to be doing well.
      Occupational Therapy Somewhat Helpful
      Patience Working / Worked
There are days when it doesn't work and days when it works great.
Picture / Word Schedules Working / Worked
Robbie started with picture schedules, but is now able to read, so we use word schedules for him.
      Prayer Working / Worked
I pray daily for patience, hope and tolerance of others that don't understand autism and that they learn as much as possible to be sensitive to people with special needs.
    • Close Caregivers

I am a mother of a child with autism, and do private care for the elderly.

      Treatments

      Prayer Working / Worked
This is the best way for me to regroup and focus on caring for my son and my ladies and gentlemen.
Physical Exercise Too Soon to Tell
I just joined the gym and so far so good.
