I had to pay for my bone scan, nothing has been mentioned about having another one done. I took my first fosomax on Sun,my dentist said it wasnt a problem re the jaw thing, because we have osteoporosis, its that that caused the problem because the jaw could be affected,he said that if I needed a tooth out I would probably have to see a specialist whether i was on fosomax or not!!His advice was to take it and see how I go and if I have a problem then go back to the dr.So, here we go, wish me luck!!

    • Close Osteoporosis

My mother and grandmother both died of bone infections because of osteoporosis. My grandmother in 1957 of a hip fracture and my mother in 1996 of borken vertebrae that became infected. I have just been diagnosed with osteoporosis in both my arms. I am left-handed and my left arm is the worst probably because of overuse and abuse. The only reason we discovered it was because I was adamant about having the left arm given a bone density test. The usual test would have been within limits.

      Treatments

      Miacalcin Too Soon to Tell
Side effects: bloating, diahrrea, nausea, etc. Sorry, had to up. One day, my muscles froze and I fell to the loor. My doctor took a blood test and said that the medication was not working. Now, taking the natural cocktail of: calcium, Vit D, magnesium, zinc, copper, boron (little darling!), shark cartilege and strontium. Strontium is not a prescription drug but must be supplied by a doctor. I am working with an Alternative Medicine MD in Suffern, NY.
