My name is Heather. I am 29 years old and live in Florida. I am a mother of a beautiful 5 year old boy, who keeps me busy. I have just started going back to school to finish my degree in social work and guidance. I work at an alternative school with children that have behavioral and emotional problems. I have a wonderful supportive husband and family.

Close Gastric Bypass Surgery
SURGERY DATE IS JANUARY 24!!!!I have been "chubby" for most of my life, but never super overweight. After having my son 5 years ago, I have ballooned into someone I don't even recognize. It just happened gradually, but it is out of contorl. I have tried diets of every kind to no avail. My dad asked me to go to a siminar with the surgeon for gastric bypass. It is the best thing we ever did. I can't wait to get my life back!
Close Parenting Big Kids (5-8)
I have a beautiful 5 year old son. He is healthy and a very well adjusted child. He is a typical 5 year old. I love him more than anythning in the world. And he does drive me crazy sometime! LOL!
Open Anxiety
I have always been a "worry wart". Since having my son 5 years ago and as I get older it seems to get worse. I talked to a psychiatrist about it and he placed me on Lexapro. My life has greatly imporved. I didn't even realize how bad it had gotten until I have been on the Lexapro and can see the difference. I do still "worry" but I don't have the anxiety melt downs that I used to. I aslo don't hurt all the time from all the tension that I was holding in my sholders and neck.
