Retired Special Ed. teacher, love my grandkids, outdoors, mountains , beaches. Indoors, Ilove to read, self-help and fiction. Not working now, fully retired. Some volunteer work. Had a scary setback in Feb, March and April! Medication (1 Sinemet CR, 1 Comptan and .5 mg for anxiety taken every 6 hours- 9 AM, 3 PM, 9 PM and 3 AM. This new schedule has made a real difference and slowly but surely I am regaining the strength, flexibility, and confidence I had in the fall. When I had my "set back" I stopped my social and volunteer activities and I expected I would never ski, hike or kyak again and I would change my name to "VT couch potato." At this point, I feel if I keep up my excercising I should be able to resume most of my favorite activities!

Diagnosed a few years ago by my foot doctor who said "see a neurologist right away" when I was not swinging my left arm and sort of dragging my left foot! So far meds work pretty well- but I am scared!! I sometimes feel very self-conscious, like I am moving "funny" and afraid that it will be noticed at work and I will be asked to quit (or something..?)
