Arr well i hope all goes well, you will have to let me know how things go as I want a hyserectomy too. I know I am only 27 but my quality of life is so poor, I just want to be pain free. I hope you get all that you need from the surgery and that you take things easy afterwards as it is major surgery. You will feel rubbish for the first few weeks but I am sure it will be worthy it in the end. Just wondering if you have bee told that a hysterectomy might not necessarily end your pain especially if you have scarring and adhesions as well as endo in other nearby organs such as the bowel and bladder. I don't want to put you off as like I said I want the surgery myself, but I want you to be aware of what can happen, as I have heard from people who are still in pain after a hysterectomy. You may think well why do you want the surgery then? It is my only hope, I can't live like this any longer and my opinion is if you get rid of everything then at least it can't grow anymore and cause me more related illness's. Anyway I am sorry if I haven't helped much but i thought i would let you know what I know. Kirsty

I love yur little icon with the man it really is funny. Read a bit of your profile and I can really relate to what you are going through with the pain and depression. Just remember your not on your own with how you feel almost all of us feel the same. I am at the end of my tether with my body and I am just so frustrated with being in pain, nauseaus, fatigued and depressed. You ever need a chat it would be good to share advice. Kirsty

Close Endometriosis
I have had my tubes tied and I don't want anymore children. However, I had suffered with endometriosis for as long as I can remember. I have laparoscopies, and tried Zoladex twice. I am now being told that I must consider a FULL hysterectomy. Along with constant pain, I now suffer from depression, from being in pain and tired all the time.
Treatments
- Aygestin Somewhat Helpful
- It helps the hot flashes.
- Zoladex Somewhat Helpful
- I still have severe cramps even though the Zoladez has stopped my period. I have hot flashes and I have to take Norethindrone (hormones) for the menopause symptoms.
- Prozac Too Soon to Tell
- I have been so depressed with being in pain. The pain has gradually gotten worse over a 7 year period.
- Ibuprofen Working / Worked
- I take at least two 800mg, Motrin daily. That's just to function with minimal pain during the day.
Close Fibromyalgia
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2002. I could not afford to continue the herbal supplements. I was easily taking 15 pills a day. I have to admit that I felt better than I do now.
