Hi, I'm marg. Everyone that reads these probally remembers my orginal login. Well I'm back. My passions are getting up each day and being able to breath without a wheeze. I am 50 and had adult onset asthma at the age of 38. I am a single parent of a special needs adult and at times I feel like I am going crazy. Believe in yourself and you can make it through the day.

Hi marg, Thank you for your message. do that clearing the throat cough too & it drives my Prince (Dear husband)crazy,he calls it my fake cough.I just tell him it clears my throat & makes it easier for me to breathe at the time. Sounds like you have your hands fullwith you special needs Son. Be kind to yourself deserve it & you need time for yourself,even if it is just 1/2 hour to do something you enjoy. Maybe somone else could stay with him,if he can not be left alone,then maybe you could have your own time when your husband can be with him. I'm sending you a great big hug right now. Bye for now. Hi, I am Marg3 in the asthma support community. Decided to join here as well. I have copd,acid reflux,sleep apnea. COPD diagnosed last year. Caused from displacement of tongue. On many medications for other issues as well. Tired of lungs always hurting. I am single parent of a special needs adult son. Trying start a small sewing business and trying to find a job as well.
Treatments
- Albuterol Working / Worked
- Use only as an emergency inhaler. Use Xponex in nebulizer when needed.
- Atrovent Working / Worked
- Built up in system and ended up having adverse effects from it.
- Combivent Working / Worked
- Only on for a very short period of time. Ended up getting sick to often.
- Spiriva Working / Worked
- Has worked well with asmamax and singulair. Controls the asthma. Find I don't need predisone as much.
- Asmanex Working / Worked
- The Allegera's control allergies in turn help control asthma. Singulair controls some of asthma and allergies. Asmanax is great at night.
- Dilantin Working / Worked
- The fisrt controls seizures. The next two contol high blood pressure.
