Close Infertility
My DH and I have been trying for 3 yrs now. 2 Failed IUI's, one failed IVF, and one failed FET. Notice a trend here? We are moving forward with adoption now.
Treatments
- Adoption Working / Worked
- We have just begun getting everything together for our home study.
- Artificial Insemination Not Working
- Had our first one 10/31/07 and got the BFN. Had the second 11/30/07. BFN.
- Clomid Not Working
- Finished first cycle no side effects to complain of....(knock on wood)
- Folic Acid Working / Worked
- Try to remember to take it every day.
- Follistim Working / Worked
- Lots of follicles...
- hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) Working / Worked
- I ovulated.
- HSG (Hysterosalpingography) Working / Worked
- At least I found out that my tubes are ok. It was quite uncomfortable during the procedure.
- In Vitro Fertilization Not Working
- BFP quickly turned into a BFN. FET BFN as well.
- Laughter Working / Worked
- Lupron Working / Worked
- Progesterone Working / Worked
- My progesterone level was fine. The suppositories are disgusting!

Types: Kidney (Renal)I am the living donor for my father's kidney transplant surgery in 2000. He is doing really well.
Open Bereavement
Type: Loss of a FriendMy Father-in-Law just passed away on Dec.1 from a sudden heart attack. I am very close to my in-laws and it is like losing a father to me. I am trying to be strong for my husband and my mother-in-law but sometimes it is VERY hard.

Open Health Care Reform
My husband and I have been undergoing infertility treatments for 5 months now and we have been lucky that most of it has been covered by our insurance. The only problem is that if we move onto IVF none of it is covered, and we are looking at a $10,000 treatment!!! I think that it is a sad state of affairs that they offer health care coverage for birth control pills, I believe even abortions, but hardly anyone covers IVF.
Open Breast Cancer
Stage: I (T1 N0)This past August my mother-in-law was diagnosed with bi-lateral breast cancer. Luckily they caught it early enough that they were able to remove the cancer with 2 lumpectomy surgeries. She has just finished her radiation therapy and is now looking into which anti-cancer med is right for her.

- Radiotherapy Working / Worked
- Surgery Working / Worked
- 2 lumpectomy surgeries. Had to go back after the first one as the boundaries weren't clear.
Open Adoption
My husband and I have been ttc for almost 2 years. We are looking at adoption as opposed to IVF. Still trying to figure out what we want to do!
Open Trying To Conceive
My DH and I have been TTC for 2 and a half years now. Had 2 IUI's, both ending in a BFN and one IVF that started as a BFP then went down. Currently taking a much needed break then probably on to FET.
